Hotel Steinbock - Lauterbrunnen

The location next to Lauterbrunnen train station is perfect for hiking access. Our room was a bit noisy at night.

Exceptionally comfortable hotel that has best possible location near everything. Patient staff throughout. Beautifully designed, functional room available with bathroom and an amazing view, for instance. Generous breakfast with freshly backed pastries for the start of the day.

this was a brilliant stay for the price. the restaurant was really nice with a nice breakfast buffet here, i had appetising dishes. it boasted particularly nice views of the mountains.

Upon arrival, the reception staff was unfriendly. The shared bathroom was less than ideal, with cleanliness issues that I couldn't overlook. The unpleasant smell from the ski shoes stored near the entrance was a major turnoff, completely overshadowing any charm the place might have had.

This charming, clean property has generous continental breakfasts and excellent staff. The standard queen room is cosy and new-fashioned. They offer central heating, a work desk, and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The location is unbeatable and stunning, very close to the train station as well.

The room was new-fashioned, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, clean bathroom. Wonderful location and really kind and nice staff where a definite plus.

The staff seemed in a rush during check-in, totally ruining my first impression. The absence of a kettle in the room was almost unforgivable, and breakfast was merely continental, though the fruit was fresh-how gracious of them. I expected an upgrade for my special occasion, but apparently, that's too much to ask. I just couldn't give a good review after this experience.

Positive, The location is ideal, just a 30-second walk to the train station. Breakfast was great with a nice variety each day. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were clean and cozy. Parking was cheap and convenient.

During our stay, we were excited to find that the location was just a short walk away from the Staubbach Waterfalls. We were able to easily catch the train to go paragliding, which was a highlight of our trip. The room was decently cozy. It lacked a few amenities like an electric kettle, which would have made our mornings more enjoyable.

Charming stay near the falls

We enjoyed a great location right next to the Lauterbrunnen train station. The breakfast was good. Fresh breads and fruits really stood out. The staff were generous, even providing an electric kettle for our room.

The wooden floors made it noisy at times, as we could easily hear sounds from the surrounding area. Some guests mentioned issues with the heating not working effectively, which could be a concern during colder months.

Consider filling your water bottle before dining to avoid unexpected charges for tap water.

The best and worst parts

Lovely breakfast spread daily! Conveniently located near the train station and accessible cable car. The staff was friendly and accommodating!

Older building means you might hear a bit of noise! Some rooms may seem dated.

Staying at this charming place was a delight. We enjoyed breakfasts with a fantastic spread, and the kids particularly loved the view from our balcony overlooking the valley. It was perfect for our family and super convenient for catching trains.

My wife says that the rooms could use more soundproofing.

Great location for adventurers!

Super convienent right by the train station and super easy access to the cable car! The breakfast spread was delish, and we loved hanging out at the bar area after a long hike. Just be ready for some stairs-packing light is def a good idea.

We explored beautiful hiking trails and enjoyed the lovely views of the mountains. The staff were super nice, and the breakfast was full of options. The location is perfect for getting to nearby attractions.
